One thing you need to know once you are an SEO is where to get your directory list. Info Vilesilencer is my first source of directory list. This has an updated list of directories.

They are also on the top list on Google when you search for “SEO Friendly Directory.”

Their list is in a form of a spreadsheet that have fields for you to fill up, tabs of different categories and PR of the directory. On the fields I often use it to write the Date Submitted and Date Approved, this way you would know what site approves the fastest or does not approve at all.

TIPS:

• It would be best if you choose to submit only to the directories that is for free and does not require a reciprocal link.
• Before doing the submissions, it is also best if you would create an email to track those submissions alone, because you would surely receive a lot of emails.
• Try to list all the info needed in submission, such as name, email, site name, site url and site description. So that you don’t have to write over and over again, all you need to do is copy the info and paste it to the input box.

I have heard about this statistic plug-in for Wordpress. Since Google Analytics would require you to log in to their page to see the stats, it would be time consuming. So a less hassle would be having a statistic on your Wordpress blog dashboard and WP-StatPress is the plug-in that does that.

Akismet is a pre-installed (already in Wordpress upon installation) wordpress plugin. Recently, they have an updated version of it. It is a plugin that filters spam messages from the comments on your blog.

Steps in using this plugin:

• Log-in to your wordpress account.
• Go to Plugins
• Look for Akismet (usually it is the top one). Click Activate
• Once the plugin has been activated, you will be instructed to put your Wordpress API (click). If you have no account on wordpress.com, you have to create one.
• Log-in to your wordpress.com account >> click My Account >> My Profile. You will then see your Wordpress API, just copy it and paste it on Akismet Configuration.
• Click “Update Option.”
• DONE

I just activated and updated mine

I added Wordpress on the title, because honestly I do not know how to put or create a sitemap on my own. A sitemap is a tool which helps search engine crawl your site easily. This is best for SEO.

I just got my Smart Bro Plug-it yesterday and this morning I tested it in the office. Here’s my first test of its speed. This is the speed for a full bars GPRS / EDGE connection.

I was really disappointed and can’t believe of the result, so in a matter of minutes, I tested it again and there was a big difference. This is the speed for a full bar 3G / HSDPA connection.

Somehow this gives me a relief, but then again, there’s only a few spots in Iloilo that HSDPA is available.
